The Name : ausjam

The creators of this web site, Austin Peel (right) and James Barnett (left), decided to launch a site that would directly compete with myspace.com and facebook.com.   After thinking long and hard about a name for the site, they came to the conclusion that combining their two names was kind of catchy.

Thus, Austin + James = ausjam.

The Kangaroo

The kangaroo logo comes from James's peculiar fascination with kangaroos.  He is also rather infatuated with Australia, and it was just one of those ridiculous ideas that stuck. Cool, huh?

The Creators

James and Austin currently attend college at the University of Texas at Dallas. James's interests include long walks on the beach and the smell of jasmine. Austin likes pudding.
